Abstract

R. Sravya

Antenatal care is the care of woman during pregnancy. Also known as prenatal care, it is preventive healthcare, with the goal of providing regular check-ups that allow doctors or midwives to treat and prevent potential health problems throughout the course of the pregnancy while promoting healthy lifestyles that benefit both mother and child. The purpose of this study was to analyse the factors influencing the utilization of antenatal care services. We wanted to compare the maternal and perinatal outcome in booked versus unbooked cases in a rural based hospital.
